Kedarnath Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Delhi - Haridwar

You start your journey early in the morning from Delhi. You travel by car or train to Haridwar. The distance is around 230 km and takes about 5 to 6 hours. When you reach Haridwar, you check into your hotel and take some rest. In the evening, you visit Har Ki Pauri. You watch the famous Ganga Aarti. Priests light lamps and chant prayers. The sound of bells and the sight of lamps on the river create a magical feeling. You can also walk in the local market and buy souvenirs. You return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2
Haridwar - Guptakashi

After breakfast, you start your drive to Guptakashi. The journey covers around 200 km and takes 7 to 8 hours. You drive along the Ganga River and later see the Alaknanda River. You pass through small towns like Devprayag and Rudraprayag. At Devprayag, Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers meet to form the Ganga. You enjoy the fresh air and mountain views during the drive. You reach Guptakashi by evening. You check into your hotel and relax. You can visit the Vishwanath Temple in Guptakashi if you have time. You enjoy dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3
Guptakashi - Kedarnath

You wake up early and get ready for an exciting day. After breakfast, you drive to Gaurikund, which is about 30 km away. From Gaurikund, you start your trek to Kedarnath. The trek distance is about 16 to 18 km. You can walk or hire a pony or palki. Helicopter service also runs from nearby helipads. You walk through beautiful paths, waterfalls, and mountains. The fresh air keeps you active. You reach Kedarnath by evening. After check-in, you visit the Kedarnath Temple. You feel peace and devotion inside the temple. The temple stands strong among snowy peaks. You attend the evening aarti if time allows. You stay overnight in Kedarnath.

Day 4
Kedarnath - Gaurikund - Rudraprayag

You wake up early in the morning and visit the temple again for darshan. The morning view looks calm and beautiful. After breakfast, you start your trek down to Gaurikund. The downhill trek feels easier and faster. You reach Gaurikund and then drive to Rudraprayag. The journey takes around 5 to 6 hours. You see rivers and valleys during the drive. Day 5
Rudraprayag - Rishikesh

Day 6
Rishikesh - Delhi

After breakfast, you start your journey back to Delhi. The distance is around 240 km and takes 6 to 7 hours. You carry beautiful memories of your Kedarnath trip. You reach Delhi by evening.
