Chardham Tour Itinerary from Haridwar
You start your journey from Haridwar early in the morning. You drive towards Barkot. The road passes through hills, rivers, and green forests. You enjoy the view of mountains and fresh air. On the way, you cross small towns and stop for tea and lunch. You reach Barkot by evening. Barkot lies near the Yamuna River and offers a calm environment. You check into the hotel, relax, and enjoy dinner. You prepare for the next day’s journey to Yamunotri.
You wake up early and drive to Janki Chatti. This place marks the starting point of the trek. You begin a 5-6 km trek to Yamunotri Temple. You can walk or hire a pony or palki. The path offers beautiful mountain views and waterfalls. At the temple, you offer prayers and take blessings of Goddess Yamuna. Many pilgrims cook rice in hot water springs as prasad. After darshan, you trek back to Janki Chatti and drive to Barkot. You rest at the hotel after a long but satisfying day.
After breakfast, you drive to Uttarkashi. The route follows the Bhagirathi River and offers lovely views. You reach Uttarkashi by afternoon. This town holds great religious importance. You visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple Uttarkashi. You check into your hotel and relax. You enjoy dinner and prepare for the Gangotri visit.
You leave early for Gangotri Temple. The drive passes through beautiful valleys and pine forests. On arrival, you take a dip in the holy river and visit the temple. Pilgrims believe that Goddess Ganga came down to earth at this place. You spend peaceful time near the river and attend aarti if possible. Later, you drive back to Uttarkashi. You rest at the hotel after dinner.
After breakfast, you begin a long drive to Guptkashi. The journey takes you through scenic roads and river views. You pass towns like Rudraprayag where rivers meet. You reach Guptkashi by evening. You check into the hotel and relax. This town serves as a base for Kedarnath visit.
You start early and drive to Gauri Kund. From here, you begin the trek to Kedarnath Temple. The trek is around 16-18 km. You can walk or hire pony, palki, or helicopter (optional). The route offers amazing views of snow-covered peaks. You reach Kedarnath by evening. You visit the temple and attend evening aarti. You stay overnight near the temple.
You wake up early and visit the temple again. Morning darshan feels peaceful and divine. After breakfast, you trek down to Gauri Kund. The downhill journey feels easier but still needs care. You drive back to Guptkashi and check into the hotel. You rest and recover from the trek.
You leave for Badrinath Temple after breakfast. The drive offers beautiful mountain and river views. You reach Badrinath by afternoon. You take a dip in Tapt Kund, a hot water spring near the temple. You visit the temple and attend evening aarti. The atmosphere feels peaceful and spiritual. You stay overnight in Badrinath.
After breakfast, you can visit nearby places like Mana Village, the last village of India. Later, you drive to Rudraprayag. This town stands at the meeting point of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. You check into the hotel and relax after dinner.
You start your return journey to Haridwar after breakfast. You enjoy the last views of mountains and rivers. You reach Haridwar by evening. Your Chardham Yatra ends with beautiful memories and spiritual peace.
